Welcome to Tailor It! The revolutionary process that allows you to make your blouse fit you and not the other way around. Tailor It! allows you to see the garment on a model and then make it to fit you perfectly. The Tailor It! feature is now available on all new products. Here's how it works:
The process
1. Print out the measuring guide and order form on the following pages.
2. Take your measurements following our easy-to-use measurement guide and record them.
3. Complete the order form with the blouse style(s) that you would want made to your measurements.
4. Fax, send, or email the completed measuring guide and order form to us.
5. Receive your perfect fitting shirt in just 3 weeks!
Tailor It! FAQ’s
How much extra does Tailor It cost?
Tailor It! costs an additional $49.99. This extra charge allows us to make a custom pattern from your measurements, measure your pattern and garment constantly throughout the process ensuring it will fit you perfectly, and producing a one of a kind garment in our factory. Since all Tailor It! shirts and blouses are made to fit you uniquely, we cannot honor sale prices or any discounts that apply to our regular off the rack shirts and blouses.
How quickly should I expect to receive my shirt?
Upon receipt of your measurements, it takes 3 weeks to receive your shirt. All manufacturing is completed in Chicago allowing us to have a quick turn around time. If any of the components are back ordered, you will receive an email from our Customer Service team informing you of the exact ship date.
Can I return my shirt if I don’t like it?
Tailor It! is a fully customized program and is non returnable.
Is there anything special I should know about taking my measurements?
When measuring, make sure to take exact measurements. No sticking fingers inside the tape!
Have specific instructions for us? Write a comment about how you typically wear your shirts or problems you have on the order form, and we will do our best to pay special attention. For example, “I have a hard time with shirts gaping at the chest” OR “I want a more roomy classic shirt to wear over clothes-more of a shirt jacket” and we’ll take care of it or call you for more information if necessary.
Can I find out how much ease will be added to my shirt?
Once we receive your measurements, we add “ease”. Ease is the amount of extra fabric needed to be able to move and be comfortable in your clothing. We have ease guides that we follow and will happily email these to you if you would like to look at them before placing an order. Please send an email to sales@kateboggiano.com and put “ease guides” in the subject line and will get them right out to you.
What if my shirt doesn’t fit me properly?
We want you to love your Tailor It! blouse and have it fit perfectly. If for some reason it doesn’t we will make sure the problem is taken care of. If there was an error with your measurements, we will do everything we can to help you correct that mistake including free alterations-you’ll just be responsible for shipping. If the error with your measurements is more severe, there may be additional costs to recut the shirt. If we have done something wrong, we will recut your shirt at no cost to you. That is our quality guarantee!
I have already been measured. Do you keep my measurements on file or do I have to fill out another packet?
We keep all measurements on file for 18 months after receiving your order. If you feel your past measurements are accurate, you may select the Tailor It! option for the size on the product page, the color that you want, and then go straight to the checkout. If there was something you wanted us to know or add, write us a comment in the comments section of the checkout page. **We recommend a remeasuring at least every 18 months to ensure the best fitting shirt.
Can I customize any details of my shirt?
There will be a few options that you are able to decide between for the Tailor It! program. If you are looking to pick out every detail (collar, fabric, cuff, sleeve etc) please visit the Create Your Own section of our website where you will be able to design your own shirt from scratch.
